Where Creativity meets climate action

YCAN helps chapters plan unique events - all the way from brainstorming to execution - mobilizing young people throughout our network. Chapters use YCAN's policy toolkits to advocate for environmental policies to their schools and Boards of Education, bring young people into our movement through chapter outreach, and plan direct action events in their communities. Wether it be a park cleanup or a protest in Earth costumes, we're committed to creating change through our integrated advocacy model.

Through our open-access model, groups can join our network in two ways:

a) You can start a YCAN chapter at your high school, college, or in your community.

b) Your existing environmental group can join our network as a YCAN affiliate and receive almost all the benefits of a YCAN chapter.

YCAN provides chapters with the resources and support they need to take their advocacy to the next level.

YCAN offers 1-1 on chapter development, giving your group the personalized attention it needs to thrive in your community. From our chapter packet to our leadership trainings to monetary support (when possible), we make sure our chapters are a priority in our work. Our chapters make our distributed organizing possible.

Due to capacity constraints, a limited number of chapters are onboarded per semester. Please fill out the 2-minute interest form below:
